The Satellite Finance Network and the North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence hosted a conference on 19 November at the Xcel Centre, County Durham, which showcased satellite applications, financing opportunities, and the potential of small satellite technology for the energy and transport industries.

Around 150 delegates heard from respected industry and academic experts about where opportunities lie in the space industry, which is expected to grow to £40bn by 2030 in the UK. Delegates gained direct insight into the exploitation and development of new products and services for the space sector, and the support available during this journey.
